Punjab safe cities authority issues traffic alert: multiple routes in Lahore temporarily closed
Several key roads, including Shahdara to Niaz Baig and Thokar Niaz Baig to Multan Road, face temporary closures; citizens are urged to use alternative routes and stay tuned to Radio Safe FM 88.6 for live updates.
Punjab Safe Centre releases an alert: give instructions to citizens that different places in Lahore are closed on a temporary basis.; therefore, citizens are advised to use alternative routes.
According to the authority, these routes are affected and closed temporarily:
- Chungi Dogech
- Lal Pul (both sides)
- Road from Shahdara Chowk to Niaz Baig
- From Niaz Baig to Band Road Campus Mor
- From Thokar Niaz Baig towards Multan Road
- From Daroghawala to Salamatpura Overhead Bridge (both sides)
- From Mughalpura Chowk to Harbanspura (both sides)
- Lahore to Islamabad Motorway (M2) both sides
- Lahore to Sheikhupura Motorway (M3)Â both sides
- Lahore to Kasur Motorway
- Lahore to Kasur Motorway (M11) both directions
The Punjab Safe Authority also gives advice to stay informed about the latest traffic updates on Radio Safe FM 88.6.”
